How it works

Explained briefly

The places where it helps most, 30 seconds each.

Build your guest list

From a table, from WhatsApp or from your notes. You do not have to rebuild anything.

From a table to your guest list

  1. Make a table

One row per invitation. A family? Put all the names in one cell. Email and phone are optional, and a phone number works best with + and the country code.

We skip the example rows in the template. Delete them or write over them.

  2. Save it

In Excel: File, Save As, then choose “Excel Workbook (.xlsx)”. No Excel? In Google Sheets use File, Download, Microsoft Excel (.xlsx).

  3. Upload it

Tap “Upload file” and pick the table. Rather not use a table? Type the names one under the other, one line per invitation, and paste them in.

  4. Check and send

You see everything once more and confirm it. Then you send each invitation on WhatsApp, one after the other. You do not need an email address for that. A phone number is enough, or nothing at all: then you pick the contact yourself.

On WhatsApp, without email

You do not need an email address for WhatsApp. You add names and, if you like, phone numbers, and send each invitation with a tap. Without a number you pick the contact in WhatsApp yourself. We never send anything for you: you decide with every tap.

Which way fits?

  • One link for everyone

    You
Copy one link into the family group or your story.
    Your guest
Taps it, opens the envelope and writes their own name.
  • One by one

    You
Add the names and send each guest their message via WhatsApp, one after another. We write it for you.
    Your guest
Gets “Hello Ayşe,” and their own link. Their name is already on the card, and you see who opened it.
  • By email, we send

    You
Give us the addresses and pick when it goes out.
    Your guest
Gets an email with their own link. We remind them for you if you like.

You can mix: start with one link for everyone, then write personally to those who are still missing.

Send it to the family group

  1. Tap the green button

WhatsApp opens with the finished message and your link.

  2. Pick the group

Choose the family group, or several. For a story or Instagram: copy the link and paste it there.

  3. Send

Whoever taps the link opens the envelope and replies themselves. You see the replies here in Linkvite.

What the numbers mean

  1. The numbers on top are people

A family with four names is one reply and four people. The number on top tells you how many plates you need.

  2. Food and questions

Below you see who eats what and what guests answered to your questions, counted per person.

  3. Menu choice

If you set up a menu choice, every dish is counted, for example “3 × meat · 2 × fish”. Below it is the kitchen list, sorted by dish, ready to hand over.

How reminders work

  1. Only those still open

Anyone who already replied gets nothing. You see who it reaches beforehand.

  2. At most twice

There are no more reminders than that, and at least five days lie between two. That protects your guests and you.

  3. WhatsApp or email

With an email address we send for you. Without one you tap the green button next to each name and the chat opens.
